TierForge ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Shopify application.

2. Information We Collect

We collect minimal information required to provide our bundle pricing service:

2.1 Store Information

• Your Shopify store domain (e.g., your-store.myshopify.com)
• Shopify API access tokens for authenticated API calls
• Your selected billing plan and subscription status

2.2 Bundle Configuration Data

• Bundle group names and settings you create
• Collection IDs you select for bundles
• Pricing tier configurations (quantities and prices)
• Product IDs and variant IDs included in or excluded from bundles
• Discount strategy preferences

2.3 Product Information

• Product titles, handles, and images (for display in the admin interface)
• Product and variant prices (for discount calculations)
• Product tags (we add a bundle-eligible tag to products in bundles)

3. Information We Do NOT Collect

TierForge does not collect, store, or have access to:

• Customer names, email addresses, or contact information
• Customer shipping or billing addresses
• Payment or credit card information
• Customer browsing behavior
• Any personally identifiable information (PII) of your customers

4. Order Analytics Data

To provide savings reports and analytics, we receive limited order data when a customer completes a purchase with a bundle discount applied:

4.1 What We Collect

• Shopify order ID and order number
• Discount amount (savings) applied by TierForge
• Number of items that received the bundle discount
• Order total and currency
• Discount title (e.g., "3 for $10")
• Order timestamp

4.2 What We Do NOT Collect from Orders

• Customer name or contact information
• Shipping or billing addresses
• Product names or specific items purchased
• Payment method or card details

4.3 How We Use This Data

• Display total savings generated by your bundles
• Show the number of orders using bundle discounts
• Calculate average discount per order
• Help you measure the effectiveness of your bundle pricing

5. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information exclusively to:

• Configure and apply bundle discounts at checkout via Shopify Functions
• Display your bundle configurations in the admin interface
• Sync products from your selected Shopify collections
• Manage your subscription and billing through Shopify
• Provide customer support when you contact us

6. How Discounts Are Applied

TierForge uses Shopify Functions to apply discounts:

• Your bundle configuration is stored in a Shopify metafield
• When a customer checks out, Shopify's servers run our discount function
• The function reads the configuration and calculates applicable discounts
• We never see or process individual customer carts or orders

7. Data Storage and Security

• All data is stored in encrypted databases
• API access tokens are encrypted at rest
• All data transmission uses HTTPS encryption
• Access to data is restricted to essential personnel only
• We use industry-standard security practices

8. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.

Your data may be shared only in the following circumstances:

• Shopify: We integrate with Shopify's APIs to provide our service
• Legal Requirements: If required by law or to protect our rights
• Business Transfer: In the event of a merger or acquisition

9. Data Retention

• Bundle configuration data is retained while your app is installed
• When you uninstall the app, we receive a webhook from Shopify
• All your data is permanently deleted within 48 hours of uninstallation
• Shopify access tokens are immediately revoked upon uninstallation

10. Your Rights (GDPR/CCPA)

You have the right to:

• Access: Request a copy of your stored data
• Rectification: Request correction of inaccurate data
• Deletion: Request deletion of your data
• Portability: Request your data in a portable format
• Object: Object to processing of your data

11. GDPR Compliance

TierForge complies with Shopify's mandatory GDPR webhooks:

• Customer Data Request: We acknowledge these requests but store no customer data
• Customer Data Erasure: We acknowledge these requests but have no customer data to erase
• Shop Data Erasure: All shop data is deleted when received

12. Children's Privacy

Our service is intended for use by Shopify merchants and is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
